These rose cupcakes are one of my favourite cupcakes so far… so simple, so elegant… and not so hard to do!
You just need the correct icing tip (I used Wiltons #104) and a nice soft buttercream. Here is a great tutorial from Wilton. I used the same tip for the base just zigzaged it to make a base. Also instead of a flower nail I just put the cupcake on a napkin and moved it around as I go, much slower process but handy when you don’t have the flower equipment.
Using the same technique and a bit of fondant I made an extra cupcake for my friend Annie’s birthday. She had a red carpet glamour party so I added the tiara and edible glitter.
