These cupcakes are simple as! I purchased a texture rolling pin a few weeks ago and I have been dying to try it on a project. I was going to add more elements to it and then I thought simple is better! So here they are: embossed skull toppers on summer pastel colours!
But the best part of these cupcakes isn’t the toppers! It’s the frosting!! I don’t know how I didn’t think of this earlier: peanut butter + jam cupcakes!!! Oh, so good!!! The cupcake is just a basic vanilla cupcake recipe so I’ll focus on the frosting!
Peanut butter frosting
- 160g icing sugar
- 250g smooth peanut butter
- 80g butter or margarine (I used margarine cause the butter is too much, I think)
- Your favourite jam: mine is Blackberry!
For the icing, mix the sugar/peanut butter/ margarine in a bowl until you get a smooth frosting texture. Then pick up your already baked vanilla or chocolate cupcakes and spread a layer of jam on top. Then pipe a layer of peanut butter frosting and done! You can add fondant toppers or leave it like that…
